Permeable Pavers For Outdoor Driveways and Patios
Eric’s Concrete Pavers wants to help you create unique outdoor oasis. Permeable pavers are great for any outdoor landscaping.
Applications Of Permeable Pavers
Permeable pavers are used in a variety places around your home. They are used to build a patio, pool deck, walkways, driveways, or even overlay your existing deck. In new growth areas permeable pavers protect watersheds, reduce erosion and pollutants. You will no longer need drainage ditches or pools.
Redevelopment and reconstruction are opportunities to install stormwater water management practices. This process removes stormwater runoff as all water seeps back into the ground. Make your living space safer due to the water that drains through the spaces between the pavers.
Building Codes For Permeable Pavers
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency was created to protect Lake Tahoe and the surrounding environment. It has strict building codes. They make sure homes and construction impact the area as little as possible. The TRPA offers Incline Village and North Lake Tahoe homeowners more options when they build with permeable pavers.
They are allowed to cover up to 25% more of their property if they use these kinds of concrete pavers. That means your driveway, patio, or deck can be 25% larger than your neighbors. Building green does have its perks.
Outdoor Paver Options
Permeable pavers are available in a wide array of colors. They can be made with a natural face or made to match any landscaping plan. Many patterns are available to create a decorative deck, patio, or driveway.
The same hydronic tubes we install in our heated driveway system can heat these pavers. Enjoy the feel of winter as you warm your toes on a heated deck complete with interlocking pavers.
Our Permeable Pavers Process:
- 1. Inspection: All of our jobs whether they are pervious concrete, or elevated decks begins with an inspection of the site. It will safely accommodate the desired deck, patio, or walkway.
- 2. Excavation: We dig down at least 6” below the surface grade. We also remove any excess dirt from your residence.
- 3. Substrate: Before we complete paver installation we level the excavated area with a larger porous rock. This redistributes rainwater after it has seeped through the permeable pavers.
- 4. Pavers: We choose the right pavers before installation begins. We also follow any patterns agreed upon before the start of the job.
